WHAT YOU DO MATTERS…

Reporting to a Merchandise Visibility Manager, we have an opportunity to join our Programs and Analysis team as a Reporting and Data Insights Analyst. This role is primarily responsible for analysis and reporting on the programs and activities of the Safety & Loss Department.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and conducting detailed analysis on the impact of Safety & Loss programs and initiatives
  • Creating and presenting visual reporting
  • Mining and analysing data to support Safety & Loss with in-depth data analysis on business performance
  • Providing Safety&Loss teams with analytics and reporting to identify weaknesses and improvements to drive future strategy and initiatives
  • Owning the maintenance and future development of Safety & Loss databases, dashboards, monthly reporting and analytics
  • Supporting the safety & loss department with:
    • data validation, data mining and analysis
    • project management and administration
    • the writing of documentation, instructions and procedures

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and experience:

  • The ability to analyse, model and interpret data
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a data analyst in a role where their work has had a positive business impact
  • Proficient in using MS Excel and able to create tables and write complex queries in MS Access or other relational databases
  • A high level of mathematical skill
  • A methodical and logical approach
  • Excellent level of verbal and numerical reasoning
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong time management, organization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Willingness for self-improvement and to undertake self-directed study
  • Ability to write clear procedures
  • Strong and positive team player with good interpersonal skills, able to communicate at all levels

It is desirable if candidates are also:

  • Able to use VBA for automating tasks
  • Able to write queries using SQL
  • Able to program using Python, particularly for statistical analysis
