WHAT YOU DO MATTERS…

We have an exciting opportunity for a Paid Social Assistant to join our growing Digital Marketing team! Sitting within the Performance Marketing team, you will help support the activation of paid social advertising campaigns across our social media channels.

The role will focus on briefing in supporting content to our in-house graphics team and scheduling content across Facebook/Instagram, Snapchat and Pinterest. You will brainstorm concepts with the Senior Paid Exec and execute our BAU strategy. You will support the team with day-to-day activity and be comfortable with creating tracking links and uploading creative ads using the platforms’ Ads Managers.

This is a new role that offers great potential for growth and is a fantastic hands-on opportunity for someone looking to assist and learn more about the fast-moving world of Paid Social advertising in an exciting client-side role.

 Key responsibilities

  • Assist the paid media team with scheduling, activating and optimising various campaigns across all paid media platforms with particular emphasis on Pinterest
  • Support the Senior Exec with scheduling and activating BAU campaigns with tracking in place
  • Attend internal meetings and brainstorm creative concepts in line with business KPIs
  • Offer social-compatible ideas that convey business messages in an engaging manner
  • Assist in creating Paid Social creative briefs
  • Provide weekly top-line insights of campaign performance in line with performance based KPIs and benchmarks
  • Assist with our ongoing ‘test and learn’ optimisation programme to help maximise performance
  • Be comfortable with reporting on basic campaign costs and metrics and keeping track of spends on a weekly and sometimes ad-hoc basis
  • Provide admin support to the team as needed (e.g. updating documents and presentations)
  • Ensure relevant industry trends, competitor activity and latest innovations are circulated weekly and demonstrate how these can be incorporated into the River Island strategy
  • Explore new advertising opportunities on new and emerging social channels

Suitable candidates should demonstrate the following:

  • Proven knowledge and experience of paid/biddable channels and management platforms
  • Agency or in-house experience working on paid social campaigns
  • Experience working on retail brands, preferably within the fashion sector is a plus
  • Experience working with GA360 or Analytics is a plus
  • Creative thinker with an understanding of digital marketing and putting the customer first
  • Strong communication, creative and copywriting skills
  • Good time management skills with the ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Flexible; be able to adapt seamlessly to changes in marketing strategies and revised timelines
  • Be calm in demanding and pressurised situations
  • Express enthusiasm and optimism towards projects which keep the customer front of mind and in a frictionless manner
  • Numerate with a strong attention to detail and ability to analyse campaign data
  • Proactive team player able to work individually and as part of a team
  • Personable; being able to successfully build relationships both internally and externally to the business
  • Affinity and passion for fashion
  • A willingness and hunger to learn and develop career further
