Working within the Carriers Team:

Our Carrier Team play a huge part in the success of our Ecommerce division by ensuring our products are widely available to customers within the UK and Internationally.

With the dispatch of 6 million orders a year (and constantly increasing year on year), the team manage the end to end journey of all types of web orders throughout the world, using a combination of sea, air and road to ensure orders are delivered on time. Working with 6 carriers in the UK and 4 Carriers for our international orders, the team ensure efficiency and service quality for our customers.

Five years ago, the team comprised of one person and has grown over the years to reflect the growth and demand of the Ecommerce Department. Currently operating as a team of 4, we are now looking to grow the team even further and support with various delivery management and returns related projects.  Our Carriers Team are always looking for ways to improve the service we deliver to our customers, so there are plenty of opportunities to be really hands on and get involved with project work to improve our already outstanding processes.

What will you do as a Logistics Analyst/Carrier Coordinator?

A fantastic opportunity to join our ever-growing Ecommerce Team as a Carrier Analyst.  The Carrier Analyst’s core responsibility is the production of detailed data and trend analysis to support Operational decisions on capacity, planning changes exceptions management to address emerging problems or opportunities.  Provides general administrative support to the Carrier Team, DC Team & eCommerce Director.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Designs and updates informative spreadsheets in a timely manner eg. Carrier non-performance, trend reporting, trading Review documents, Daily and Weekly KPI Performance Monitoring and Cost Trackers
  • Uses spreadsheet expertise to interrogate numbers as appropriate, providing stakeholders with accurate and focused operational data in user-friendly reports, such as KPI Performance Packs and returns analysis.
  • Accurately collates, records and tracks invoices in the Cost Tracker, identifying and querying invoice discrepancies, and cost variances through trend analysis
  • Interprets order forecast data and communicates required information to the appropriate supply channels
  • Takes ownership of Customer Service reporting. Engages contact centre for support.

Skills and experience you will need: 

  • Have excellent analytical skills and is comfortable with data analysis day in day out
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Initiative and not afraid to ask questions
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Advanced Excel
  • Can multitask and prioritise
  • Experience of working to deadlines
  • Be a problem solver
  • Be adaptable to change
  • Logistics and or Retail experience is desirable
  • Preferably educated to Degree level in Maths or Science
